How old do I have to be to obtain a business license?
I’m seventeen, and doing some researching on opening my own photography studio…and I was wondering how old I have to be to obtain a business license. Or if it depends on the type of business you want to open. No, I don’t really plan on taking it on before I can handle it, like now, but I just want to know so that I can do some further planning. Thanks!
If you live in the United States, call your Secretary of States office. Or go online and email someone in that office with your questions. If you describe what you plan to do, they should be able to help you determine what licenses or regulations you have to meet in order to open your business.
