Only with a sound business plan with repayment commitment can you then go to friends and relatives. Then throw in a credit card or two.
In the new world, the only way you will get this money from a bank is if you have more than $20,000 in assets already.
Family and friends would be the obvious choice.

you give no information as to what your business is, or what the money is for. Is the $20,000 part of $80,000 where you’re putting up $60K, or do you have no money at all and are you looking for someone to give you 100% financing for your business venture.
You might need less than you think, you might need more.
Going to your bank will not prove fruitful. Banks rarely lend money to start up businesses, there is no financial history for them to base their decision on.
Is the money for equipment? Then equipment leasing might be a good idea ( I help small businesses finance equipment for a living).
Will you be invoicing other companies for a service that you will be providing? Receivables financing might be a great solution.
