Is a business license required if I were to run a store online?
I am planning to make my own website and sell beauty products such as false eyelashes, fake nail sets, and other products on there, via e-carts, paypal, etc. Is there such thing as needing a business license for this? And if there is, is it mandatory?
I reside in Vancouver, Canada if that helps. Thank you!
Its not required, but is actually the smart thing to do.
You want to shield yourself from liability should things go bad, and doing this privately is RISKY….
At least in the US, you may need a license to operate a home business. Here you would check the laws of your local government. It might be the same in Canada, but I don’t know.
