Cash+eft hmm.

Most POS software may have all features but not sure about eft (presumably you mean electronic funds transfer). Do you really need eft or only online verification of credit cards - which may be available with all POS packages.

Open source may be good enough.

All the best.

I have seen a website www.posqx.com, they claim that their application is for quick services and casual dining restaurants.
They also claim that they maintain stocks and day to day reporting.
software is intregated for Credit cards as well as Gift Cards (Gift coupons).
It is a software as a service , so that you do not need to tell them about the new features (It automatically downloads the new features avalable and you do not have to pay anything for that.)
One more thing , you do not have to backup your data as itis their responsibilty to backup your database , and you can access your reports from Anywhere.
Their software is in 2 parts.
One is Admin which is web based. (All the menus and reporting from one place)
2nd is desktop application (which will be run in the restaurant with Basic reporting like Z-report)
Software is Free, but they charge monthly rent of $60-$70 for one terminal for maintenance, support and services.

Hi Jessi,

It really depends on your budget and what kind of software or hardware you need. For example, if you need a complete point of sale system for your restaurant (hardware & software), you might want to check out QuickBooks. They have a very user-friendly, all inclusive system. It runs around $2500, however. If you have a smaller budget & already have the hardware, you can just buy the software, which costs probably a few hundred dollars. RunIT Point of Sale Systems (www.runit.com) is a real-time pos software and can basically be used with any computer that has an internet connection. You can check out Top10reviews for a side by side comparison.
