    The Elliott Wave is the most complicated thing I’ve read about. I don’t trust the people who interpret it, but they can always get it right with hindsight.
    I don’t know of a formula, but you can type Elliott Wave in Google and read about it.

    The best analysis is based on a lot of factors. The most important is the direction of the general market: even good stocks go down in bear market.
    But in analyzing individual stocks, the important things would be the earnings growth rate in the past combined with the estimated future earnings. Linear regression with these figures is a good predictor provided the estimated future earnings are OK.
