When starting a business better to use home address or get a actual business address with location?

When starting a business better to use home address or get a actual business address with location? I heard that it is better to get a actual business address for credit reasons and also for privacy?

I should think it would depend on what sort of business you are starting. Mom had a beauty shop in a converted sunporch off our kitchen. So she "worked at home". Her home address and business address were the same.
If you are just starting, $$ is a big consideration. When you make up your business cards or ads, unless you say so, no one will know it is your home address! If you designate one room in your home as your office that will be tax deductible. Once you get things up and running and start raking in the $$ you can change to a storefront.
You can always use a post-office box for your business address if it is not a business that requires visits from customers.
Stop to consider if the type of business you are starting would be more easily done it’s own location from the get-go or if working it from home would be better for a while.
    Good luck!

better to have a business address
you can have a home office as well
need to look up the rules of a home office for tax purposes
you don’t want some irate customers showing up on your door step either
you can rent a postal address that will cover the bill & no one will know
if things are big enough you can rent an address in a business location
that comes with a phone & a secretary
she will check to see if you are in
or will see that you get all messages left for you

Business address. (Of course, depends on what kind of enterprise you have in mind)
